Driver Quotes
Dave Feiler- Long time Super Late Model Competitor finished 3rd in year
end points ASA Midwest Tour.
"I have had built motors my whole racing career. It's the power,
and that horspower feeling that I enjoy. I know what we have and I feel
confident that I can win on any given day and the ASA Midwest Tour has
provide this program for all of us. I had the opportunity to drive a
crate engine car during the 2006 racing season and by the middle of
the summer I was ready to quit. There is so much cheating, and it's
so blatant that the teams talk and laugh about what they are doing to
their motors. It's a slap in the face for all of our local engine builders
that are trying to feed their families and produce winning motors locally
or nationaly. I'll never go back again after I experienced that."
Nathan Haseleu (Pronounced HAS - LIE) ASA Midwest Tour Champion in
2007
"I have 9to1's, I have ACE Motors, and there is not a better feeling
then driving a Super Late Model. The ASA Midwest Tour has stepped in
to the ring and took a stance for the built engine guys. This is awesome
for them, we had 9 different winners in 12 races, all types of built
engines competing, and the tech was terrific. I was forced to build
a crate engine car because one of my sponsors wanted us to run locally
when we weren't traveling. It's kind of a joke actually, I have a box
stock Chevy and I look like I am standing still against some of these
guys. Everybody knows what's up, but we just kinda go with the flow
for our sponsor. Sad, when you think about it."
